Here's my travelmate & love one👦
Choosing a right companion is so important in order to have great experience during the travel.
I'm lucky to have him all these years and he always trying to being best as a good partner .
We aren't perfect and sometime we did argue for some unexpected matters too , but we did learned from the mistake and make things better.
I miss the old days we can travel whenever we want to.
Hope the war on COVID can be end as soon as possible.
It’s been 28th days since the MCO started. Things changed , like Finally we have a different daily routine as most of us have to WFH. It’s definitely not a good sign for the economy but hopefully we’re able to resume on track soon. 👐🏻

Sunday, March 29, 2020 40, Jalan 1/77A Off Jalan Imbi, Changkat Thambi Dollah, Imbi, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
At last have much time to update the posts that I was planning to shared on last year.😭
I can finally arrange my time well due to this MCO period.💛
This post is going to share you a cute cafe that I've found in KL. They served Japanese food , not the variety of sushi , but signature in Curry.
How's the food?
Food was tasty, the price is affordably. 🍳
I've ordered avocado w/ curry rice and surprisingly taste is more than I've expected.
Crunchy on the outside and soft inside with combination of Japanese curry made taste perfectly😋
Overall Ambiance
Pastel yellow and some plants to highlighted the interior created a comfort ambiance.
Couldn't resist on this cute embroidery art pieces!
Cute Omelet on head above 🙋

There are many island in Malaysia , but ever heard about this beautiful secret island which located in Mersing, Johor?
If you are looking somewhere less-crowded beach you will definitely in love with this place! The island name called PULAU BESAR
Came back from Pulau Besar with my girls on the past few months already start to miss it 😞

How do we get here?
(KUALA LUMPUR > MERSING JETTY ) by busIf you not planning to self-drive all the way from KL to Mersing Jetty , you may choose to take bus as your transportation. (fare is about below RM90 for roundtrip)
BUS TICKET can be purchase from Easybook (As we bought our departure ticket at 5AM)
(Please take note of your bus arrival time as there will be only 1 boat time available to the island) *
Ferry Time table
You will need to take the boat ride from Mersing Jetty to reach the island. The journey will takes about 30 minutes.Based on our research, there will be only one boat time in a day to Pulau Besar.
12pm (departure from mersing jetty)
10am (departure from Pulau Besar)
We don't need to purchase ferry ticket since our resort package already included two way speedboat transfer**
Our resort's speedboat.
30 minutes of journey in speedboat isn't that long for a city girl, a little weird of enjoying splash of seawater while the boat hit the wave.
When color of ocean turn from dark to lighter, the water getting clear and clearer. And we finally reach the island😻 so touching!
Look at that crystal clear of seawater, we were so excited when we arrived especially we realize there's not much crowd when we touch down the beach
Accommodation : Mirage Island Resort Pulau Besar
There are only few resorts available in this island but it's going to be develop very soon I guess as I can see more building construction in going on around.Due to our last minute book most of the resort was already full (better to be book in advance)
At the end we were still lucky got to managed our accommodation in Mirage Island Resort Pulau Besar.
We bought our package for RM490 per pax which inclusive of
↪Accommodation with air conditioning.
↪Meals : 2x breakfast, 1x lunch 2x dinner.
↪Two ways speed boat transfer.
↪Welcome drink
Basically you will not need to have other expenses in the island as all meal are included unless you purchase for other activities (snorkeling / canoeing).
The food overall is nice and mostly they served local food instead of fancy western food.
Taste good tho!
- Review & Comment of Our Stay -
To be honest, they did not provided the best facility among the resorts in the island but the overall is fine especially the owner is friendly and very helpful.
Snorkeling in Pulau Besar
One of activities you can enjoy in Pulau Besar.Snorkeling to nearby island
-Pulau Hujung & P. Tengah (duration 3 hrs, includes mask & snorkel) @ RM80/-p.person (June 2019).
Sunset in Pulau Besar
Completely in love with the peaceful. You probably got nothing to do at this place but rest and relax.Thoughts
The trip was amazing with gang of bestie. Sometime a short & relax vacay is good enough to reboot our exhausting mind. Looking forward to our next trip! |
Q & A (updated June 2019)
Q : Is there any phone network in the island?
A : Yes but not for all phone network. I'm a Digi user, the line is pretty good in our resort.
Some of my friend are using U-mobile , the coverage is not that stable.

It's been my 3rd times travel to PHUKET since the passed few years. Like finally got some free time to update my travel-log.
This time I'll compound " THINGS MUST DO IN PHUKET " here as references for you guys.
Air Ticket : Airasia
The cheapest flight ticket during our booking date was Airasia. It's about RM418.25 .
Still a little expensive as i remember the ticket was bought in a very last minute decision.
(as the booking date was very close with the travel date)
I will suggest to book the ticket half year early / book during 0 fares can really save a lot!
Wi-5 Sim Card : DTAC
There are few mobile network available in Phuket but I'd recommend DTAC to you guys as I found the network is smooth and the signal is strong during my whole journey :)
There are two way to purchase which you can purchase it on the spot in Phuket International Airport

We've arranged one-way airport transport while booking our stay using AGODA . There will be extra chargers for transportation around RM82.61 added to your accommodation fees . (price can be change anytime)
We also booked the transportation to Airport on the spot (for 3rd day leaving) when we arrive to the our Resort. For more information please read about our stay at Dinso Resort.
Our Stay : Dinso Resort
We don't feel to have pack schedule in such a short vacation so we decide to choose a better accomodation to enjoy the facility , walk around the street and beaches.
FYI , Dinso Resort located nearby Phuket famous beach , Patong.
Our budget for 2 nights is below of RM1000. The total amount for our booking is around RM900+ due to peak season, but it's definitely worth the price. The staff is friendly ,
( Did some research for the hotel just now, guess they are having promotion for 2 nights only cost RM363++ )
Facade design of the resort
The resort is located at highland that able to enjoy the view around the Patong.

The Bedroom
View from bedroom
We enjoy the view of these colorful buildings from our bedroom.
The beach is at the left handed side view.

#3 Big Buddha (required tour / motorbike rental)
Big Buddha in Phuket , a 45 meters tall statue become an amazing spot in Phuket.
I'm not a buddhist but really got impressed of their pretty and details work.
You will need a tour guide / motorbike rental to be here because it's located far from our stay (Patong Beach)
Despite you can easily find some tourist stall selling different of tour package around Patong area.
#4 Banzaan Fresh Market
This market selling fresh seafood and also provide cooking service at the 1st floor.
This place is definitely the best place for seafood i had in Phuket.
Our overall expenses on seafood included cooking is roughly in RM200-300 (with lobster).
#5 Patong Beach
Took a short walk with love and had drinks at the stall at the beach.
It's suppose how holiday be like !
